TSProcessor

ETV (Enhanced Television) is one of the key application delivery platforms for digital television. Millions of homes in the USA use ETV and its continued support is vital for the widespread provision of interactive services. S&T work closely with our clients to invent better ways of handling and filtering ETV applications. As a result, we are excited to announce our new product; the ETV TSProcessor.

S&T’s ETV TSProcessor provides a range of functions for managing ETV application content within a transport stream. Incoming transport streams can be analysed and ETV applications inspected, validated or removed to ensure they meet your standards. This gives you greater control over your broadcast content and provides greater ability to manage broadcast content and application additions to a stream.

TSProcessor reads a transport stream that has been populated with ETV content. The ETV content can then be manipulated and analysed using a choice of interfaces such as a web browser UI or API. Additional components include an External Decision Engine and an Alert Receiver. The External Decision Engine decides to pass or block ETV applications based on attributes set within TSProcessor. Alert messages are delivered to the Alert Receiver(s) when significant events are detected.

As with TSBroadcaster, the addition of an API means that any third party software can control TSProcessor using bespoke applications.
